If you're looking for a real-deal 1969 Oldsmobile 442 with outstanding cosmetics, a numbers-matching drivetrain, and the kind of presentation that turns heads everywhere it goes, this is one you need to see.
Finished in beautiful Tahitian Blue with a Black vinyl top and Black bench seat interior, this 442 has the perfect combination of originality, drivability, and show-quality presentation.
The Drivetrain
Under the hood is the car's numbers-matching 400 cubic-inch V8, backed by its numbers-matching Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end.
The engine and transmission were recently rebuilt and have less than 100 miles since completion. The car runs exceptionally well, starts easily, shifts properly, and performs exactly as a big-block-era Oldsmobile muscle car should. There are no strange noises or fluid leaks to spoil the experience.
Options & Upgrades
This 442 is well equipped with:
Power Steering
Power Disc Brakes
Air Conditioning
Custom Autosound stereo system
Bluetooth connectivity
Hands-free phone microphone mounted discreetly by the driver's visor
The air-conditioning system is complete but currently blows warm.
The car has been upgraded with power front disc brakes, and the original drum brake setup is included with the sale for the next owner.
Show-Quality Exterior
The body and paint are simply outstanding. The panels are very straight, the gaps are good, and the car presents beautifully from every angle. The Tahitian Blue finish is a high-quality base coat/clear coat repaint with the depth and shine you want in a car of this caliber.
The chrome and stainless trim are all very nice, and the rubber throughout the car remains soft and pliable—not dried, cracked, or deteriorated like you often find on a 57-year-old automobile.
This is a car that looks equally at home pulling into a local cruise night or sitting proudly at a major car show.
Interior
The Black bench seat interior is in excellent condition and needs no attention. It is clean, comfortable, and presents extremely well throughout.
The odometer is currently showing in the high-30,000-mile range. The mileage may very well be original, but there is no documentation available to substantiate that claim, so it is being represented accordingly.
Undercarriage & Wheels
The undercarriage is exceptionally clean and presents as a high-end driver-quality restoration. There are no patches or visible rust issues, and the car appears to have received a light undercoating when it was restored.
The car currently sits on a great-looking set of 15-inch Oldsmobile Rallye wheels, wrapped in 255/60-15 white-letter radial tires, giving it a slightly more aggressive stance without taking away from its classic appearance.
Best of all, the sale also includes the original 14-inch Oldsmobile Rallye wheels.
The Bottom Line
This is a three-owner 1969 Oldsmobile 442 that checks a lot of important boxes:
Numbers-matching 400 V8
Numbers-matching Turbo 400 automatic
12-bolt rear end
Recently rebuilt engine and transmission with less than 100 miles
Tahitian Blue exterior
Black vinyl top
Black bench seat interior
Show-quality body and paint
Very clean undercarriage
Power steering
Power disc brakes, with original drum setup included
Air conditioning
Bluetooth Custom Autosound stereo
Upgraded 15-inch Rallye wheels
Original 14-inch Rallye wheels included
Beautiful, honest, and exceptionally well presented, this 1969 Oldsmobile 442 is the kind of classic muscle car you can proudly show, enjoy, and drive. It has the look, the pedigree, and—most importantly—the numbers-matching drivetrain that serious collectors and Oldsmobile enthusiasts want.
A stunning 442 that needs nothing to be enjoyed immediately.
